On Tuesday the Internet search engine company Google acquired the Finnish social network platform Jaiku, which can be accessed both from computers and mobile phones.The service’s business idea is based on presence. Through Jaiku, its users can inform each other of their movements and doings. In Jaiku the messages are short, under 140 characters.

Very interesting. Its always exciting when Google acquires a company from your small country. suddenly some very cool features begin popping up every now and then and usually for free. So from the narrow user perspective this is usually good.
