Are Blonds really Stupid?

Gil wrote in September about Miss Teen USA South Carolina thinking she was only a victim of the mass-media manipulation when she did not seem to know her map in an interview.

I did not actually agree with Gil then and even less after seeing this.

Kellie Pickler [born June 28, 1986, is an American pop country music singer and songwriter who finished sixth on the fifth season of the Fox television series American Idol. She has since become gold selling recording artist] made an absolute fool of herself in the TV-show: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader [television game show format based on asking grade-school level questions to adults. The format originated with the version from the United States which first aired on FOX in February 2007. The show was originally created by Howard Stern and later copied by Mark Burnett]

She has no knowledge of Europe!

Mmmm... i don't know. Not sure if that makes your point or mine stronger. Considering her probable bank account, for example, I am sure quite many folks can be considered as less intelligent. Or is there no relation between income and intelligence? anyways, nice research Leena. IMHO, your blogging rocks :)

Gil, you are making me philosophical: How do intelligence, money or happiness relate? Money does not make a person happy, intelligent people usually are not happy and don't have money...
Thanks for the comment about my blog. I was taught by the best blogger :)

"Money does not make a person happy, intelligent people usually are not happy and don't have money..."

I know persons that were happy when they had no money and become hysteric when they become reach. When I see it I think, if I had all this money I would do this and this and this and would never make that stupidities they are making and are unhappy.

The most happy persons I ever seen were tibetan bön monks after meditation sessions.

Leena,
In reality, whether our hair is grey, brown, red, blonde or black; none of these has any relationship with our level of intelligence.

When I interned with an international investment company, I wonder why some poeple have millions invested in just one account and have plenty of free time yet they were very moody or not the happiest people around.

US is an enormous country and not many people seem to know the geography outside this country. My neighbor who is an entrepreneur, aged 50 plus told me that his daughter-in-law is from China. I asked which part of China. He said "Singapore!"

Oh yes, I would like you to pick up an award from my blog as an appreciation of our friendship.

well, intelligence and money do relate with each other, providing the right mix of education, motivation and background are in the mix. I am not sure about happiness and those two human qualities. probably not much correlation can be found there. Just heard yesterday about this research claiming people have a this certain "floating point" happiness level and what ever they do they usually level back to it.
